Its not just about the great accommodation and warm hospitality. Staying at the Tree Lodge also lets you stretch your legs after your long flight or overland safari.

The lodge has its own swimming pool complete with sun loungers or for the more adventurous we have three marked walking trails set out for guests to explore at their own pace and time.

 

The trails range from 30 minutes to an hour and a half, all depending on what you see and how quickly you want to take.

 

The walking trails are well marked and perfectly safe for clients to explore on their own. This lets you stop when you find something interesting and to proceed at your own time. Both the red and green trails pass close to waterholes. Those approaching quietly are sure to spot animals and birds drinking.

For those guests staying for more then one night there are many other activities to choose from. Ideally these should be booked beforehand, at which time the current price will be quoted.

Activities include:
Scenic Flights over the Okavango Delta in either a fixed wing or helicopter – these flights can be booked on a per hour basis.

We can arrange this either on the farm or along the river. Riders must be reasonably experienced - no beginners can be accommodated.

Cultural Village Tour:
A morning tour of a local village. See how the locals live, what they eat and how it is prepared. Listen to their stories and share a window into their lives.

Guided Bird Walks:
Here, in and around the lodge we have a “possible” bird count of over 300 species with sightings depending on the season and the level of water in the nearby Thamalakane River.

Keen birders should be able to see at least 50 – 70 species in a day and we are always looking for new species to add to our Lodge bird list. The best we have done is 130 species in a 24 hr period (our annual bird count every December 17th)
